Conventions

The first STC Israel Technical Communicators Convention was held in 2003 at the Daniel Hotel, Hertzliya Pituach.

The success of this convention made us realize that a technical communication is something that our community wants and needs.

The second convention was held in 2004 near Jerusalem, in conjunction with the Israel Translator's Association annual convention. With an exciting guest speaker, Char James-Tanny, we learned more about understanding the target audience, and were among the first to hear about Microsoft's new Longhorn Help.

Our third convention (2005) was held in Haifa. For more information about the convention or to view presentations, visit the post-convention page.

Member Only Activities

In the past, we have provided a lecture on learning to work with DreamWeaver, and the first public presentation of research results in technical communication. As the opportunity arises, we will continue to have special member only events that promise to be stimulating and fun!

Lectures & Seminars

STC Israel actively works to provide lectures, seminars, an annual convention, and member only activities to help you hone your technical communication skills and encourage your personal professional development.

Events are offered in various parts of the country, depending on the venues that are made available to us.

Venues for STC Israel Events

Finding an appropriate venue is not always easy. Recently, we've only been able to offer venues in the Central and North areas due to a limitation in finding companies willing to host an event.

If you would like to have an STC Event in your part of the country, and can suggeset a suitable venue (seating for 30-50 people, easy access), please contact our Content Committee.

All companies that offer a venue are listed on our Sponsors page.
